Last updated: 10 July 2026. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a contract between you and Northbeams Inc. ("Northbeams", "we", "us") governing your use of the Northbeams website at northbeams.com, the application at monitor.northbeams.com, and the related browser extension and desktop apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
By accessing or using the Service, you accept these Terms for yourself and, where you sign up for an organization, for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are agreeing for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.
Northbeams helps organizations see and govern the AI tools their people use across the browser, desktop, command line, and MCP. Inspection runs on the device. The Service is not a network proxy, and it does not install a man in the middle certificate. We may add, change, or remove features over time. Paid features and limits are described on the pricing page and in your order.
You are responsible for your account, for the security of your credentials, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. Administrators of an organization can manage users, set policies, and view activity attributed to those users, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By starting a paid plan, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the fees shown at checkout or in your order, on the billing cycle you select (monthly or annual). Fees are stated exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for. Fees are non-refundable except where law requires. Plans auto-renew for the same term unless you cancel before the renewal date. The 14-day trial requires a card and converts to a paid plan unless you cancel, as described on the pricing page.
Northbeams and its licensors own the Service, including the software, the tool catalogue, and the brand. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. You own your data. You grant us the rights needed to operate the Service for you, including to process your data as described in the Privacy Policy and any data processing agreement.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Northbeams helps you find and govern AI activity, but no security product catches everything, and the Service does not guarantee that every AI tool, prompt, or policy violation will be detected or blocked. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues. Northbeams' total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to Northbeams for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as fees owed, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless your order specifies arbitration.
We may update these Terms as the Service and the law change. We will post the updated Terms here with a new "last updated" date, and we will tell account admins about material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
